For 91 years, Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. has been strengthening the Lincoln community by providing services for individuals who face barriers to employment and by offering residents an outlet for recycling unused household items and clothing. The sale of donated items in Goodwill’s retail stores remains the largest source of funding for its programs and services.

Located in Lincoln and serving all of Nebraska since 1961, the Nebraska Safety Council’s mission is to provide education and leadership to empower people to live safe and healthy. We provide support and services to organizations of all sizes, across a wide range of industries throughout the state and surrounding areas.

The Lincoln Earth Day Celebration is an annual celebration in Lincoln, Nebraska. Our exciting community event has approximately 2,500 attendees annually and our Coalition wants you to join in the fun. There are dozens of booths that all promote, educate, and celebrate environmental stewardship, green education, and sustainable living.

First Star Recycling is passionate about making it easier and more economical for Nebraska and Iowa homeowners and businesses of all sizes to recycle and improve their waste management processes. The company processes recyclables for businesses and communities throughout the Midwest and markets close to 100,000 tons annually to end users throughout the country and internationally.We work with community education and outreach to help businesses, organizations, and communities understand the value and importance of sustainable recycling practices, and we’re constantly looking to expand our areas to serve and diversify the type of materials we are able to recycle.
