Cancellations and Adjustments Amid COVID-19

Nebraska Recycling Council appreciates the healthcare workers, local communities and government entities around the country who are working tirelessly to contain this coronavirus (COVID-19). Our thoughts go out to those who have been affected by this unprecedented event affecting the world today.

In support of recent guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), we recognize that one of the best ways to reduce the spread of this virus is social distancing and limiting the number of people assembled in close quarters.

With health and safety concerns in mind, below are details about temporary changes to service delivery to you and our valued members.

Please note that we are implementing the following measures and will keep you informed as the situation changes:

NRC Offices

As of now, our staff are working remotely and the office is temporarily closed until further notice.

Rest assured we can do phone calls, meetings, and conferences over our computers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out through email! The staff directory and contact information is on our website HERE.

Earth Day CHaRM Events

The Earth Day CHaRM Collection Event in Lincoln at Nebraska Innovation Campus has been canceled.

The Earth Day CHaRM Collection Event at Valmont Industries is canceled.

We plan to host both of these events again in 2021, so watch for them in the future.

CRT Amnesty Collection Events

All collection has been postponed with the intention of hosting events in the fall. Stay tuned for the new dates and updated information.

We’ll continue to update you around changes to our programming as we learn more information, deepen our clarity around how we show up to this transformative moment, and decide on the best course of action that prioritizes our communities’ health and safety.

Until then, be safe and be well,

Executive Director
