37,507 Total Pounds of Materials Collected at Earth Day CHaRM Event

Published June 03, 2021

To celebrate Earth Day in April and provide a special service to the Lincoln community, the Nebraska Recycling Council joined forces with Nebraska Innovation Campus, Tetrad Property Group, Sadoff E-Recycling and Data Destruction, Lincoln Goodwill, Interstate All Battery, Plastilite, and Shredding Solutions. Together, we collected a total of 37,507 pounds of materials! Serving 300 vehicles, we are thankful to our 7 volunteers, staff members, and vendor representatives who dedicated their time and resources to unloading, sorting, directing traffic, and keeping everyone safe. And an extra thank you to the vendors who have since measured the amounts collected and are continuing to process them for recycling and reuse.

If you were unable to drop off your materials at our collection event, check out our vendors’ websites above for information on their services. You can also check our Nebraska Recycling Guide for more recyclers near you!
