Happy October! We’re gearing up for the Annual Awards Luncheon on October 19th here at NRC, and feeling so good about the presenters and the stories they will share. Stories about how partnerships were developed and barriers overcome, stories about perseverance and about innovation, stories about the phenomenal accomplishments of our award winners.

Our keynote speaker, Ellen Martin, will share stories about how Closed Loop Partners has funded recycling infrastructure in small municipalities and large enterprises alike to increase recycling capacity, and how private investment in infrastructure is going to change our world.

In the book, The Art of Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein, the main characters live by the mantra: “That which you manifest is before you.” If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading this book, narrated by Enzo the dog, you are in for a treat. At the Awards Luncheon and workshops, we’re going to celebrate the past, and think about the questions that will manifest the future we want to see. Will you be there? I hope so, because you are invited to have a place at the table. After all, collaboration is the key.

Best regards,
