Gene Hanlon has a masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska. He has worked as Recycling Coordinator for the City of Lincoln since 1987. He has served on the boards of the Nebraska Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America, the Nebraska State Recycling Association, WasteCap Nebraska, and the Nebraska Recycling Council. He is married to his wife LaVonne and has two sons and one granddaughter.
