The Nebraska Safety Council is proud to introduce a new three level course that takes a team-training approach on building a safety culture at your organization. The one-day Leading Safety course provides the right amount of training to each level of your team.
The next event is in Lincoln on September 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Nebraska Safety Council, 3243 Cornhusker Hwy, Ste A10. Sign up by September 20.
Course Fee: $140 nonmembers ($95 Nebraska Safety Council members)
When: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Who: Safety Supporters, Safety Committee Members, anyone with basic safety responsibilities
In this portion of the course you’ll cover the following objectives:
- What is Safety Culture
- Why have a Safety Committee and what should they do
- Hazard identification, accident investigation, and conducting audits
Level 2 (builds on curriculum from Level 1)
Course fee: $170 nonmembers ($105 Nebraska Safety Council members)
When: 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Who: Frontline Supervisors, Team Leaders working in the trenches
In this portion of the course you’ll cover the following objectives in addition to those covered in Level 1:
- Intro to OSHA, who are they and why you should care
- Top violations and industry trends
Level 3 (builds on curriculum from Level 1 and 2)
Course Fee: $215 nonmembers ($135 Nebraska Safety Council members)
When: 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Who: Safety Managers or Directors, primary person responsible for Safety Programs and overall safety leadership
In this portion of the course you’ll cover the following objectives in addition to those covered in Level 1 and Level 2:
- Safety and health programs
- Key elements
- Management systems
