Megan Jackson joins Nebraska Recycling Council with a dedicated commitment to promoting the health and well being of Nebraskans and our natural resources. Since graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in Environmental Studies, Megan has dedicated her work to the field of conservation and sustainability. From publishing action plans for promoting urban walkability and coordinating Safe Routes to School projects, to creating field programs in civic engagement and expanding the local food systems in Lincoln, Megan brings more than ten years’ experience working with non-profit environmental and community organizations, and local farmers’ markets. She officially starts full-time in January as our Program Manager working with Nebraska communities on their Zero Waste goals, recycling efforts, and solid waste management.
