The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) is bringing awareness and education to workplaces across the U.S. as the fourth annual National Forklift Safety Day approaches on June 13th, 2017. Their main goal is to provide greater awareness of safe practices, with an emphasis on proper training.
Brian Feehan of the ITA said in a recent DC Velocity interview that “operator training is a critical component of ensuring safety in the workplace”. Both OSHA and the ITA caution businesses that generic training, like watching a video, does not meet what’s required for training. In fact, one of the prominent forklift violations issued is failure to provide the operator with adequate training.
Your associates can join our Forklift Safety Training course on Wednesday June 14, 2017 to ensure they receive the critical safety training needed.
